Jeanne Tripplehorn Biography
Launching her performing career in her native Tulsa, Oklahoma, Jeanne Tripplehorn spent several years as a local radio and TV host. Her father, Tom Tripplehorn, was a guitarist with Gary Lewis and the Playboys. Educated at both the University of Oklahoma and New York’s Julliard School of Drama, Tripplehorn was first seen on a nationwide basis in 1991 in a supporting role in the made-for-TV movie The Perfect Tribute, a fictionalized retelling of the events leading up to Lincoln’s Gettysburg Address.
Since Tripplehorn made her motion picture debut in 1992 in Paul Verhoeven’s Basic Instinct opposite Michael Douglas and Sharon Stone, she has established herself as one of Hollywood¹s most dynamic female performers.
On stage, she starred in the role of Masha in the stage version of Chekov’s The Three Sisters opposite Amy Irving and Lili Taylor at the Roundabout Theater on Broadway. Other theater credits include John Patrick Shanley’s The Big Funk and Tis a Pity She’s a Whore opposite Val Kilmer. Both were staged at the Public Theatre.
In television, Tripplehorn starred opposite Arliss Howard in the critically acclaimed telefilm Old Man, based on William Faulkner’s classic novella.
Her other film credits include Office Killer, the directorial debut of acclaimed photographer Cindy Sherman; The Night We Never Met with Matthew Broderick; Sydney Pollack¹s The Firm opposite Tom Cruise; Kevin Reynolds¹ Waterworld opposite Kevin Costner; and the romantic comedy ‘Til There was You.
She got a chance to play normal — albeit frazzled — as Hugh Grant’s fiancée in the romantic comedy Mickey Blue Eyes (1999) and in 2000, she returned to rougher territory as a lesbian gangster in Mike Figgis’ experimental ensemble film Time Code. In 2006, she took on a regular role in the HBO drama series Big Love TV Show.
Once engaged to Ben Stiller, Tripplehorn married drop-dead gorgeous actor Leland Orser in 2000. They have a son, August, born in 2002.

Birth date: 17.05.1955
Bill moved to Los Angeles at 18 where he found work in the film industry as a set dresser for Roger Corman’s New World Pictures. He made his film debut in the Corman film Crazy Mama (1975) directed by Jonathan Demme. Moving to New York, he studied acting under Stella Adler at New York University. After landing a small role in Stripes (1981), Bill found steady work in low-budget films and TV. He also directed, wrote and produced award-winning short films including Fish Heads (1982) which aired on “Saturday Night Live” (1975). His first appearance in a James Cameron film was a small role in The Terminator (1984) followed hard by his very memorable performance as Private Hudson in Aliens (1986) and as the nomadic vampire Severen in Kathryn Bigelow’s Near Dark (1987). Although he continued to work steadily in film and TV, his big break did not come until his lead role in the critically acclaimed film-noir One False Move (1992). Big love in the Big Apple: Has party queen Agyness Deyn moved on to a Stroke after split?
Written on 27 June 2008 by adminJust two weeks after ending her long-term relationship, it appears supermodel Agyness Deyn may have found love again already.
The model-of-the-moment, 25, turned up arm-in-arm with The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. at the Songwriter Hall Of Fame Awards in New York last night.
The pair were inseparable for the whole evening and left the event holding hands.
When asked by a reporter how the pair met, a coy Deyn replied: ‘That’s a bit personal, sorry.’
Friends or lovers?: Agyness Deyn and Albert Hammond Jr. at the Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards in New York City last night
A fortnight ago, Deyn was saddened when she split from The Paddingtons rocker Josh Hubbard after four years together.
But it appears Deyn’s hearbreak was shortlived and she has found a more famous musician to take Hubbard’s place.
Hammond Jr. is no stranger to model beauties - he has previously been romantically linked to Danish supermodel May Andersen.
Happier times: Agyness Deyn with her now ex-boyfriend Josh Hubbard last month
With her sleek golden crop, flawless complexion and sophisticated, floor-length gown, Deyn looked every inch the wholesome, all-American girl as she arrived at the lavish bash.
Her well-groomed appearance was in stark contrast to the bruised and dishevelled display the Manchester-born blonde sported only a few days ago after a week of hard partying in London.
Arriving with a very dapper-looking Hammond Jr., whose father was being honoured at the music event in Times Square, Miss Deyn was also joined by fellow Brit Natasha Bedingfield.
The 25-year-old, as famous for her striking haircut as her modelling, has recently turned her attentions to the world of music.
Deyn’s vocal collaboration with long-term friends the Five O’Clock Heroes meant she performed a number of London gigs including one in Hammersmith where she turned up with bruised legs and a guitar strapped to her back.
Earlier that week the sassy beauty was pictured being escorted out of London club Punk by friends at 4am, accessorising her Vivienne Westwood boots and pink prom dress with marker pen tattoos.
The night out marked the end of a busy week of wild nights out for the popular model.
Previously she had been snapped out in more customary dress, with neon mini and spiked peroxide hair, party hopping across East London where she stopped in at private members’ club Shoreditch House for drinks before moving on to new night spot Village Underground with her designer pal Henry Holland.
Party queen: Agyness Deyn last week pictured with bruised legs at a gig in Hammersmith, London; seen leaving Soho club Punk with the help of a friend; and out and about in Shoreditch with pal Henry Holland
From shambolic to chic: Agyness Deyn’s wholesome fresh-faced look for her New York appearance (left) and last week a dishevelled Deyn leaves a club covered in marker pen
Ginnifer Goodwin Has ‘Big Love’ For Co-Stars
Written on 23 June 2008 by adminJust like her character Margene on Big Love, who has gradually forged a bond with Bill Henrickson’s (Bill Paxton) legal wife Barb and second wife Nicki, Ginnifer Goodwin has also developed a friendship with her co-stars Jeanne Tripplehorn and Chloe Sevigny. But while these three girls have their own share of personal issues with each other on the HBO polygamy-themed series, in real life, however, there is no drama.
“I am absolutely surprised that I’ve worked with these people now for five years and we have no drama. We have no divas. It’s the healthiest, most collaborative, prioritized set. These women are women whose real lives and families, and what I judgmentally consider very good values, come first… People seem to be shocked when they do photo shoots with us,” Ginnifer Goodwin told The Hollywood Reporter.
Goodwin is currently filming the new season of Big Love, which is expected to air early next year. At the same time, she is also busy with her upcoming film He’s Just Not That Into You, where she plays the character Gigi.
Comparing her Big Love character Margene, Goodwin reveals that “They’re both un-self-aware. Gigi is definitely more awake and grounded than Margene and definitely less sensitive and — dare I say — more intelligent. Because you gotta admit, sometimes Margene is just a plain airhead.”
He’s Just Not That Into You pairs Margene with yet another large accomplished cast of women, following her movie Mona Lisa Smile where she worked alongside Julia Roberts, Kirsten Dunst, Julia Stiles and Maggie Gyllenhaal. This time, she’ll be starring with Jennifer Aniston, Drew Barrymore, Jennifer Connelly, and Scarlett Johansson.
“I’m so spoiled rotten! I was sent my cast list [for the film], and I started crying! I hope that in a past life I did something really noble. But, you know, I’m big on not wasting time. And I’ve certainly gone more time than not working because starting with Mona Lisa Smile set my sights so high,” the Big Love actress said.
